Good (really good!) morning,

I was a little bit worried why you didn't talked about narrow gauge stock in a country with such wide network!

Here they are. Thank you!

I have shot this retired steam loco at Pirgos station in 1988.
I wasn't able to identify it among the types that we have already presented, so let's wait for the experts and rename the topic accordingly...

SOLVED thanks to Jason: ΔΙ 7120 at Pirgos in 1988

It's surely one of the Δ 7111-7120, built by Breda - 1951.

The number actually looks like "7120", which could be true, as 7120 was at Pirghos at this time, a few years before its transportation to Kalamata depot. It still exists at Kalamata old station park.

thanks Jason, I can now see the resemblance :D
I've been confused by the absence of that structure on the tank...

ΔΙ 7115, Pyrgos April 1992 01b.JPG

as I can see from the photos that you have posted 7117 looks also like the 7120

I'm going to merge these posts with the ΔΙ 7111-7120 topic later

Hi Folks,

It's indeed one of the (in)famous Bredas, with the feedwater pre-heater removed...

Probably another attempt to boost the already poor performance of those engines!
