All three of my Electrotrens had their wheels changed yesterday. As I tried them out, I discovered a terrible high pitch squeak. So I took them apart for maintenance. I oiled all moving parts. Once the bogie towers were oiled from the side, the squeak disappeared. They now run perfectly and with the new wheels. No more rubber tyres.

These days I surely envy our fellows at Thessaloniki and the rest of Macedonia :D
Rail Cargo Goldair have acquired their first electric loco, 120 007 and first shots have appeared at fb

Good morning to everyone. Yesterday I went to the international exhibition of Thessaloniki and I visited the OSE booth. Outside the pavilion they carried a SIEMENS EUROSPRINTER Electric. (with name ΓΑΙΑ ΟΣΕ and number 120009) I climbed onto the engine and pulled some photos.

Thanks Taso, very nice detail photos!
Let's hope Gaiose will restore some of the first batch Eurosprinters...

We all know how lucky our fellow rail-photographers at Northern Greece are, Macedonia and Thrace alike!
So many trains, both passenger and freight trains everyday.
Three Hellas Sprinters, three different liveries shot at 14/3/2020 by fellow enthusiast Chris Mavropoulos at Thessaloniki.

Speaking of different liveries...I’ve seen photos of the RCG in model form, but I don’t think I’ve seen the Blue/Purple version in HO scale. Has anyone of our group repainted their model to the current livery?

Hi John. Although I have reserved an extra Electrotren model to build this one I haven't started the decals yet.
I fact I'm not that fond of the new livery :|
Having some Kioleidis coaches to haul would make me to change mind :D

I actually like the new livery (and the triangle design on the coaches) - to each his own - chacun son goût! :D

As for the Kioleidis coaches we are not completely bereft, as long as we can live with imperfection

- Nondas' paper models are very well designed and look great with all the possible variations - the main drawback is the lack of interiors

- the Roco Railjet wagons provide a starting point for a look-alike (but not fully accurate model). Modelling Centre on Ippokratous have modified the Roco wagons with a redesigned roof and bogies: https://www.modellingcentre.gr/en/portf ... ika-wagons
