If I'm not mistaken it was in 1985.
A301, A305 and A307 were already retired at that point, so never received the orange livery.

The exact date of orangisation varied between different locos. When a general service was due, the Alco went to Piraeus blue and returned to Thessaloniki Orange. Me thinks the last remaining blue DL500 was the A.309. No doubt someone will know better and  .

George you're right, A305 is the one that crashed twice!

Back in the scale locos, a bit research is needed to decide the one we are going to model.

A302 is painted in the 90's scheme, OSE logo at the front, side logos and numbers under the side windows.
note that front and rear windows frames are painted black while the side ones are orange.

A306 has received the first "orange" livery of the 80's with no logo at the front and side logos behind the door.
Frames have retained their silver color.

Minor details like buffer color, white stripe "chevrons" etc vary among locos and period.
For example, orange A310 is the only one with orange windows frames at the front and rear...

Very interesting is that the "skirt" seems to be painted all Black! or is it just dirt!!!

I think I have seen the last photo on Alcoworld, but I cannot recognise the MLW behind it.It is either a502 or A505.
And, as for A305, she repaired after the first crash (with Λγ 991), but she was later destroyed and scrapped with the original blue paint in Μ.Θ.
