Their engine can be changed easily (like the AEG and the Adtranz) in order to be used in the electricified network.

First of all, great photo!

As one desiro is out of service and has been transported to Thessaloniki for repairs (serious engine problem which can only be repaired in Thessaloniki), one of the Athens Chalkida local trains is a double GTW until the Desiro comes back.
