Yes, this "grille" is on the ABm and Bm only printed, but at one only side of coach.

Out of interest, could you please measure the length of each of the 3 carriages. I want to know if they are 1/87 (281mm) or 1/100 (245mm).

All of three coaches have a length over buffers of 281 millimeters. Of course, they are on scale...

thanks TEE,
I hope we'll have some evidence soon that the new 1974 coaches were painted like that.
Anyway, they look nice and very Greek, and they have closer to the prototype door windows too ;)

Good afternoon,

Did anybody solve the doubt about the white markings of the last sold cars? I'd them on my hands when I came to Germany and, apart from the ugly printed rack (taht could be solved easily), the white markings make me wait your answers before buying them

Regards

It seems that there are mistakes as mentioned before (roof, black solebars).
I'd suggest to get them if you model the pre-1982 OSE, that's when the lettering started to become yellow.
I won't get them as I model the late 90's and onwards and I have the older models.
If you wonder how I'll run older coaches, italian, 3-axle etc, the answer is "what if" :D what if OSE had preserved the older coaches and steam locos and used them as excursion trains?

Hi again (2nd post...)!
I am waiting from Tillig the pictures from the coaches. They had sent them to me last year in order to help with the inscriptions. Unfortunately my computer crashed and I lost them... They WILL send them to me again (they promised). So we'll clarify the colour of the solebar.
The letterings were white FOR SURE. Many customers remember them being white and not yellow.

Welcome again my friend. The writing was definitely white. The solebars on some were black (with reservations about all of them). However I have never in all my trainspotting years saw any carriages VEB or GOSA or ARAD or anything, without the roof colour wrapping around the ends. I would love to know if there were any exceptions.

Are there any further news from Tillig yet? Yesterday I opened my set and these were the running numbers:
5173 2080 304-5 Bm
5173 3940 112-1 ABm
5173 8280 001-2 BDm
Can anyone confirm if these numbers were genuine in the 70s?
